The plan is for a gentle ramble from Thornton-le-Dale following Thornton Beck to Ellerburn and then returning. The planned route is about two miles, although there is the option to extend it a bit half way round.

We will meet outside ‘The Buck’ at 7.00pm, the walk should take no more than an hour (so we’ll be back before it gets dark). Then for those who have worked up a thirst we can go the New Inn.

The paths are generally good although if it has been raining they may be a bit muddy in places.

This is the newly-formed Young Adults’ Club in Pickering. To date we have met in the Bay Horse pub and enjoyed buffets, a discussion and a quiz. The ‘club’ is open to anyone who considers themselves to be a young adult(18 to 40+) and bridges the gap between YOOF and the groups consisting of the more mature members of our congregation!

We meet monthly on the 3rd Tuesday —so far we have an attendance of some 15 people.

We hope this blog will become a tool for us to keep in touch with the local community.
