June 13th
At Christmas this year we hope to surprise the congregation with a life size nativity. So as a practice for this we decided to make life size paper sculptures. One or two tense moments making the limbs however good progress was made……..to be continued.

What a great evening we had. The Steels were brill. Free rides and a picnic. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.

June 7th
Well we couldn’t just ignore the world cup…..so we decided to hold a celebration evening. Face painting flags many on faces however a few did do their tummies…….., our own chants and dances, guess the flavour crisps……all 12 world cup flavours and a human football table. A good if slightly messy evening

Sunday 9th May
Tonight we held a round Pickering Treasure Hunt. 5 teams made it round the course in just less than a hour. It was good fun. The treasure sheet is available if anyone would like. Imogen, Amy and Maisey were the winners sharing a bag of giant buttons and the gorgeous caramel nibbles…….well done girls – don’t think Tom and David have got over losing……

The service 28th March 2010
A big well done to everyone. The youth group took the service……it went really well. They wrote their own song and also one of the poems. A good congregration.

YOOF Evensong service 28th March

Sunday 21st March 2010 – Big Rehearsal Night
Tonight we had a full run through of the service that we are doing on the 28th March. Everyone was there with instruments. We went through all the readings, poems and hymns. Then we practiced the song that YOOF have written – the whole service is focused on materialism. Fingers x’d for next week.
