Sunday 29th November

Last night we started with drama, as I read out the story Crutch Walkers the young people acted it out.
The story is about a planet where people couldn’t walk and had to crawl, A man came along and offered them crutches. Some people took them, others didn’t. The man told them if they used the crutches for a while they may go on to walk again. Some people trusted him others didn’t.
After acting the scene out we went onto discuss what they would do if they lived on that planet would they have taken the crutches. We discussed trust and sceptical people. We also talked about whether people use religion as a crutch and if they do does this matter. It was a very interesting discussion.
Afterwards we had a very tricky jigsaw to solve in groups…..lateral thinking needed.
Then finally food and games……..Mini jaffa cakes, hit the deck, murder in the dark and dodgeball…….
